What was once a glamorous golden compact containing pressed powder by cosmetics company Germaine Monteil (a French fashion designer-turned-cosmetician, whose company was purchased by Revlon in the 80s) has become the striking centerpiece of a bright and bold necklace.  Nestled amongst strands of vibrant orange coral teardrops and gilt metal beads, the vintage compact is eye-catching and elegant...not to mention wonderfully whimsical.  With a gold vermeil toggle clasp at back, the design measures 17.5" in length.
